''It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone; For part of us went with you, the day God called you home'' Linda: A pure heart, infinitely kind, eternally positive, wholly self less, incredibly strong, a wonderful wonderful lady. Linda touched the hearts of all who met her and will be loved forever and missed wholeheartedly by all the family and friends who had the privilege to have her in their lives. Linda was born on 4th February 1951. Daughter of Gertrude (Betty) and Robert Parker, youngest sister of Jennifer and Gordon. Much loved wife of Alan whom she married at Chorley Old Road Methodist Church in 1973. Devoted mother to Sally and Andrew and Grandmother to Jacob Rickson. She spent much of her life in the community of Chorley Old Road Methodist Church and told many stories of the wonderful plays that her mother used to write for the church and the many songs that they used to sing together. She had a lovely singing voice. Linda was an incredibly talented artist; she created many beautiful paintings and drawings that she shared with and which are treasured by her family and friends. Linda devoted her life to the teaching of young children. She made some lifelong friends from her teacher training days. Linda was a wonderful art and PE teacher. The children used to enjoy her classes very much as she always used her creative skills to make the lessons fun.
